There is a renewed push to decriminalise the use of marijuana in Victoria.

And Sex Party leader Fiona Patten is leading it.

She spoke with Tom Elliott on Wednesday, telling 3AW she hoped to introduce a private members bill by the end of the year.

‘Drug law reform is a really complex debate, but the community wants to have it,’ Ms Patten said.

It follows the recent legalisation of medicinal marijuana in the state.
