Reason Party leader Fiona Patten says she’s incredibly sceptical of social media “hacking” claims from Joe Hockey, Christopher Pyne and Greg Hunt.

Mr Hockey, Australia’s ambassador to the United States, ‘liked’ a tweet critical of Malcolm Turnbull on Monday night.

But he claims it wasn’t him.

It follows incidents involving Mr Pyne and Mr Hunt, with the pair ‘liking’ explicit content on Twitter.

They also claim they were hacked.

But speaking on 3AW, Fiona Patten said she found it hard to believe.

“I just can’t believe that somebody would go to the trouble to like a critical message of the prime minister,” she said.

“You think if you were going to hack you’d do something a little more flamboyant?”
