Firefighters called to rescue ‘dangling’ bird from tree

Firefighters have been called to rescue a magpie from a tree at Kyneton.

Almost most surprisingly, it’s not the first time the brigade has been called to rescue a bird!

Malmsbury CFA captain Linda Krive told 3AW Drive the magpie had become entangled in fishing line and was dangling by one leg, some 20 metres in the air.

“It was not a happy magpie,” she said.
