First on 3AW: Premier announces new epilepsy treatment trial

Victoria’s Premier has announced a new trial to treat severe epilepsy. 

The treatment will involve a synthetic product that replicates the properties of medicinal cannabis.

Daniel Andrews told Neil Mitchell the trial will help 60 sufferers and their families.

Mr Andrews confirmed Parliament will debate the legalisation of medical cannabis next week.
