Five men arrested after duo threatened with knives on Lygon Street
Five men have been arrested after two men were allegedly assaulted and threatened with knives on Lygon Street last night.
Police were called to the busy Carlton street at about 11pm.
The two victims were not injured.
Investigators were told the offenders fled the scene in a vehicle.
They were located at the intersection of Dryburgh and Arden streets in North Melbourne a short time later.
The five occupants — a 26-year-old Tarneit man, a 24-yeae-old Footscray man, a 20-year-old Collingwood man, a 20-year-old Dandenong North man and a 23-year-old Fitzroy man — were arrested.
