Five Coalition MPs fined by police for not wearing masks inside parliament

Five Coalition politicians have been fined for breaching Victoria’s mask rules at parliament.
State opposition leader Matthew Guy is among them, as well as Nationals leader Peter Walsh.
David Davis, Gary Blackwood and Melinda Bath were also fined by police.
They were not wearing masks indoors while legendary AFL coach Kevin Sheedy addressed the Coalition last week.
Matthew Guy released a statement on Monday, saying all involved co-operated “at all times” with the investigation and the fines would be paid.
But he said the Coalition would “continue to advocate for the removal of face mask mandates in low-risk settings so we can begin to recover, rebuild and move forward” in Victoria.
