Treasurer Jim Chalmers says the latest Intergenerational Report, set to be released today, reveals five “big shifts” coming to our economy and society in the next 40 years.

Mr Chalmers told Neil Mitchell “we can’t be complacent” and “can’t ignore” the changes.

“We can’t ignore some of these warning signs … but at the same time … I prefer to see these as big opportunities,” he said.

In a wide-ranging interview with Neil Mitchell, Mr Chalmers also revealed his personal view on working from home, weighed in on whether Victoria is “a rust bucket”, and responded to Anthony Albanese’s tax gaffe on the Neil Mitchell Asks Why podcast.
