Adolescent psychologist Michael Carr-Gregg says while we can’t over-protect our kids from criticism – there are some stupid things parents say to their children.
“Why can’t you be more like your brother or sister. There’s probably already a little bit of sibling rivalry, what you’re doing by saying that is promoting it even more, it can lead the young person to feeling quite defective” he told Neil Mitchell.
