Fixture for the AFL Preliminary Finals confirmed

After the Bulldogs’ stirring win over Hawthorn and Sydney’s win over Adelaide, the Preliminary Finals have been confirmed.

Clear your diary – here is the schedule for the third week of finals action…

 

Geelong v Sydney 

7.50pm on Friday, September 23 at the MCG

 

GWS v Western Bulldogs 

5.15pm on Saturday, September 24 at Spotless Stadium

 

The Dogs and Giants have a bit of history between them, going back to the defection of then-Dogs skipper Ryan Griffen, closely followed by Tom Boyd moving the other way.

Geelong and Sydney have not met in the finals since Nick Davis single-handedly beat the Cats with his final-quarter heroics.
