‘Flames and explosions’ seen coming from building in Melbourne’s south-east
Firefighters are mopping up, after nine fire-vehicles were called to a fire at an abandoned building in Frankston overnight.
Police were told “flames and explosions” were seen coming from a building on the Nepean Highway just before 1am, with the fire being treated as suspicious.

It’s believed the building had been occupied by squatters, but it was empty when firefighters arrived.
The Nepean Highway is still closed northbound, between Beach and Wells streets.
