3AW broadcaster Philip Brady has today received a Medal of the Order of Australia for 60 years of service to the media.

At a presentation today at Government House, he received the Queen’s Birthday Honour from Victorian Governor Linda Dessau.

“I feel very flattered, I was among about 130 recipients who were there today from all fields of endeavour,” he told Tom Elliott.

“It was for services to the media.

“In my 60 year career, the first 40 years were mainly television. I came to radio a bit late in life.”

Tom: Phil well done, it’s taken far too long but you’ve finally been recognised!

Phil will be back on air tonight with fill-in Nightline host Andrew McLaren from 10pm.
