Foodbank under pressure as demand jumps over 200 per cent
Foodbank is facing pressure to meet demands as more than 60,000 people access the charity.
Chief executive officer of Foodbank, Dave McNamara, says demand has risen by 200 per cent.
“We’re struggling to have enough food to send out to all our charity partners … in our 93 or 94 year history, we’ve never seen these sorts of numbers,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
