Footage of Victorian police officer in shopping trolley stunt goes viral

Footage has emerged of a Victorian police officer being pushed around a roundabout in a shopping trolley.

Several other police are pictured in the video watching while members of the public filmed what was taking place at Cowes on Phillip Island on New Year’s Eve.

Victoria Police said it was “aware” of the video.

“Police have identified the officers involved and the matter is being addressed,” a spokesperson told 3AW Drive.

“Victoria Police are supportive of members positively engaging with the community but not at the risk of their own safety or other road users.”
