UPDATE: AFL blames misinterpretation for footy flag furore

LATEST: The AFL says it has no issue with footy fans flying the Israeli flag in support of players at games.

The league has blamed an “incorrect interpretation” of league policy for the controversy surrounding a young Jewish fan waving an Israeli flag in support of North Melbourne’s Harry Sheezel.
