Former ambassador to Israel discuss the latest developments in the Israel-Hamas war

There have been developments in the war between Israel and Gaza with Israel’s defence force raiding the north of Gaza, targeting Hamas before withdrawing after a couple of hours.

Former Australian ambassador to Israel, Dave Sharma, says it shows Israel is preparing to go into Gaza.

“I expect that the purpose of that incursion was partly to gather intelligence, partly to test out operational protocols, a sort of dry run.” he told Neil Mitchell.

He also discussed growing tensions between Iran and the United States following comments made by Iran over US support.

He says threats made by Iran should be taken seriously.
