Olympian Tamsyn Manou has weighed in on the controversial kit Australia’s basketball team will wear at the upcoming Paris Games.

The kit – which was roundly criticised on social media when it surfaced on Wednesday – is Asics branded alongside other Australian team sports.

“I think the problem is a few of these players playing the NBA, they’re used to having top-notch uniforms,” Manou told Shane McInnes on The Olympics Today.

“But when you think about how many Australians are going to those Olympics, they probably haven’t had the ability to put as much time and effort into it or as much money as they spend on designing NBA jerseys.
