Former Chief Commissioner lashes ‘very badly led’ Victoria Police

A former Chief Commissioner has smashed the state of Victoria Police, saying they’re “very badly led” as the ongoing pay dispute drags on.

The long-running dispute could escalate further as angry members consider pushing for a vote of no confidence in leadership.

Former Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Kel Glare told Tony Jones there have been leadership issues in the force for decades.

“This has been festering for 25 years,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“I believe Victoria Police is very badly led and been mismanaged over a long period of time.”
