Former Geelong Mayor Keith Fagg leading push for tolls on Great Ocean Road
There is a push for tolls to be introduced along the Great Ocean Road.
Funds raised would go towards upgrading the popular tourist destination.
Former Geelong Mayor Keith Fagg is leading the campaign, telling 3AW Breakfast it needs to be preserved.
But it could cost a billion dollars.
‘I’m thinking about the future of the road for the long, long term,’ Mr Fagg told Ross and John.
‘Not just the next five or 10 years, but the next two or three generations.
‘I believe it warrants a really long-term strategy.’
