Former IBAC head ‘profoundly depressed’ by Andrews government

Tom Elliott

The former boss of Victoria’s corruption watchdog says he’s “profoundly depressed” by the Andrews government’s unwillingness to take integrity issues seriously enough.

Former Independent Broad-Based Anti-Corruption Commission head, Robert Redlich, says “there’s a general reluctance of the government of the day to acknowledge failings when they are identified”.

“If there’s no transparency then there’s no accountability,” he told Neil Mitchell.
