Former mobster opens up on Frank Sinatra’s links with the mafia

Former member of the New York Mafia Colombo Crime Family, Michael Franzese, has opened up on legendary American singer Frank Sinatra’s links with the mafia.
Franzese said Sinatra was a “friend of the mob”, and told a story involving the singer’s son Frank Sinatra Jr.
“We would do favours for him, he would do favours for us,” Franzese said on 3AW Mornings.

The former crime boss is in Australia for talk shows in Melbourne and Sydney, and explained his interesting life both in and out of the mob, and the “myths” of the mafia.
“The life is a life of violence, and if you’re part of the life, you’re part of the violence,” Franzese told Tony Jones.
