Former NAB employee paints bleak picture for bank workers

A finance professional who worked at NAB for almost 30 years says banking will soon be entirely automated.

Peter Chung, who was retrenched six months ago, said software was costing jobs.

It comes after the bank forecast 6000 redundancies over the next few years.

Tom Elliott asked Mr Chung if he saw a time where money was completely managed by machines.

“In some ways, it’s already happening,” he said.
