Former pilot reveals what could have caused the severe turbulence on a Singapore Airlines flight

There are eight Australians in hospital following a Singapore Airlines flight which experienced severe turbulence, and left an elderly British passenger dead.

Former Qantas captain, David Evans, says while extreme turbulence is rare, the best advice is to keep your seatbelt on while in the air.

“We have enough rules in our society … I think a little common sense is required here,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
