Former RSL head David McLachlan the target of Facebook scam

The former head of the RSL spent Anzac Day trying to close his Facebook account after becoming the victim of a scam.

The scammer has been using the Facebook page of retired major general David McLachlan to contact people, trying to get them to click a link to a site designed to steal their personal information.

Mr McLachlan told Neil Mitchell his efforts to contact Facebook have so far been unsuccessful.

‘It’s so frustrating,’ he told Neil Mitchell.
