Americans are set to get a taste of an Aussie icon, with the Four ‘N Twenty meat pie to be sold alongside hot dogs, chips and popcorn at NBA games next year.

The Aussie company has signed an agreement with the Philadelphia 76ers, for its pies to be sold at all home games throughout the 2017/18 season.

CEO of Patties Foods, Paul Hitchcock told Ross and John it’s the 76ers first international corporate partner in history.

“We’re going to try and leverage the Aussie connection,” Mr Hitchcock said.

Melbourne raised NBA number one draft pick Ben Simmons (pictured below) plays for the 76ers, and former Australian National Team Head Coach Brett Brown is also at Philadelphia.

Ross and John questioned whether our beloved meat pies will be to the taste of the American palate.

“Because they’re not sweet enough!” Burnso said.

“There is a little bit of mystery, we’ve got to teach them how to eat it,” Paul replied.

The team will host its first-ever Australian Heritage Night on January 24 next year against the Chicago Bulls.
