Fox believed to be responsible for killing 14 penguins at Melbourne Zoo

Fourteen penguins at Melbourne Zoo are dead after what staff believe to be an overnight fox attack.

Staff are reportedly devastated, with many of the victims young chicks.

3AW Afternoons veterinarian Jack Ayerbe couldn’t understand how a fox got into the enclosure.

‘I find it extraordinary that a fox could get into a zoo, which is a quarantine station,’ he said.
