Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich doesn’t think it’s “unusual” for opposition teams to be contacted contracted stars.

Lachie Neale’s future has again come under question this week, with reports circling that Brisbane are close to signing up the star midfielder.

But Rosich hit back, telling 3AW Football it would be hypocritical to be upset at other clubs for contacted contracted players as the club had done so themselves.

“We’ve probably met with five different players from other clubs this year, including bringing them to Perth,” he said.

“It’s something that’s happening more and more with contracted players.

“With Lachie, he’s contracted and I continue to feel very positive about him staying at the club beyond 2019.”
