French national yells ‘Allahu Akbar’ before stabbing British woman to death in Queensland

A British woman has been stabbed to death in Queensland by a French national who allegedly screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ before the attack.

A man was also left fighting for life after the incident at a hostel.

The AFP is investigating any possible links to terrorist groups after the 29-year-old went on a rampage with a knife at Shelley’s Backpapers, near Townsville.

He has been taken into custody.

More than 30 people are believed to have witnessed the shocking attack.
