Friends save teen after Phillip Island cliff fall
Friends have rescued a teenager who slipped on rocks down a cliff at Phillip Island overnight.
The woman, aged in her late teens, and two friends were climbing down a small cliff to get to the beach near St Helens Road when she was hit by a wave.
She fell on the rocks and landed in the water.
One of her friend’s climbed down abd rescued her, and carried her from the water.
The woman was treated at the scene for a hip injury and hypothermia.
SES and CFA crews were need to help the woman back up the embankment.
She was taken to Dandenong hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
