Frightening armed robbery of 13-year-olds in Melbourne’s south-east
Two 13-year-old boys have had fake guns pulled on them and their phones and iPads stolen in a frightening ordeal in Melbourne’s south-east.
The boys were walking towards the train station along Railway Parade, Highett about 5pm Saturday when they were stopped by four men in a car.
One of the boys’s mums, Kylie told Neil Mitchell first the driver pointed a gun at her son and his friend.
“And then one of the occupants in the back got out and pulled a gun on them and demanded their phones, the ipad,” she said.

Police later found the car and discovered one of the guns, which turned out to be fake.
“But the kids didn’t know that at the time,” Kylie said.
The men are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s.
