We’re not sure Rex Hunt could have put it any better.

Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin certainly went on to accomplish bigger and better things after this bag of seven for Hawthorn in the 2007 elimination final.

It’s fair to say his last goal – the matchwinner – was the pick of the bunch.

Buddy’s no longer with the Hawks, but you’d be brave to think Friday night’s semi-final showdown between Hawthorn and Adelaide will be any less exciting than this contest.
