Full interview: Matthew Guy pitches his case to Neil Mitchell

Matthew Guy has told Neil Mitchell of renewed confidence of a good result on election night.

Bookmakers rate the Coalition a $5 outsider to form government, with many pundits predicting a comfortable Labor win.

But Mr Guy told Neil Mitchell internal polling indicated he was gaining traction in recent days.

“We are very competitive, Neil, that’s what I can say about our polling,” he said.

“It is a very close election, much closer than I think some of those who like to predict these things from their armchair or Twitter like to believe.”

Neil: Has it come back towards you?

Mr Guy: Very much so.

Neil: Over which period of time.

Mr Guy: The last couple of weeks, absolutely.
