Fundraising campaign for three kids of murdered mum Amanda Harris

Generous 3AW listeners and businesses have been moved by the story of murder victim Amanda Harris, inundating Neil Mitchell with offers of support for the three young children.

Ms Harris was tragically killed last month, her partner, Daniel Martin Eckersley has been charged with murder.

As the family home was allegedly set on fire during the incident much of the children’s belongings have been damaged.

Her family have set up a fundraising campaign for her three young children, which you can donate to here.

Ms Harris’s sister and her brother-in-law Kris have been looking after the children.

“It’s been pretty tough,” Kris told Neil Mitchell.

“They’re battling with what they witnessed.

“It’s a tough road ahead.”

Kris said with two children of his own, the population of his house has doubled in size.

“We’ve got plenty of kids in each bedroom, it’s working but I mean, it is tough.

“We’ve got to make sure they get the love they deserve.”

Many 3AW listeners and businesses called in and wanted to help the family.
