QUARTER-TIME

The Bulldogs lead by four points.

They took almost 20 minutes to kick their first goals of the game, but late goals to Zaine Cordy and Tory Dickson gave them the lead after a tense first term.

Luke Parker kicked the first goal of the game after 12 minutes.

There were a few nervous moments, with Lance Franklin leaving the ground with ankle injury early in the game.

But he returned shortly later and immediately got back involved in the action.

PRE-GAME

3AW Football spoke with arguably the most dedicated Dog fan around in the lead-up to the decider.

Gary, 72, has been to 972 consecutive games. 972!

He travels interstate for every away game and has a ticket today.

‘There will be tears, tears of joy,’ he said of a possible Bulldog victory.
