Carlton has scored its first win of the season, beating the old enemy by 15 points.

It was a tough contest, with driving rain making things difficult for both sides.

‘Carlton adapted to the conditions better,’ Cameron Ling said.

Matthew Richardson said he was very impressed by the Blues’ defenders.

Carlton’s Head of Football Andrew McKay has responded to club legend Greg Williams’ dig at the Blues.

Williams, now a skills coach at Essendon, said he hopes the Bombers ‘kick their arse’ at the MCG today.

But McKay said Williams will always be a true Blue. 

‘I still see him as a Carlton man,’ he said.
