HALF TIME

The Bulldogs lead by 22 points after a fast start to the game.

The Dogs kicked six unanswered goals in the first term after conceding the first goal of the game.

Joe Daniher has taken a few big marks, but opted against kicking for goal with drop punts, including one shot from 15m out directly in front.

The Western Bulldogs’ top four chances are all but extinguished, but they can still earn a home Elimination Final.

To do so, they’ll first need to beat the Bombers.

Sure, Essendon is currently last, but having snagged their second win of the season last week, the Bombers have the taste for premiership points.

They’ll need another win if they are to avoid the wooden spoon in 2016.

Bulldog Brownlow Medalist and current Bomber Adam Cooney plays his 250th game, and announced during the week that this season will be his last.
