Hawthorn’s loss to Melbourne last Saturday has thrown the race for the top four wide open.

The Hawks are still in the box seat for the minor premiership, but one slip up could see them drop as low as fifth.

North’s season has plummeted since it won 10 of its first 11 games, and its spot in the eight is still not yet guaranteed.

A win against Hawthorn would be a welcome return to form, at the right time of the season.
