North has won its first game of the year, beating the Suns by 13 points. 

Ben Brown booted six goals for North, while Gary Ablett racked up 45 disposals and 18 clearances for the Suns.

Match-winner Brown told 3AW it’s relieving to get the monkey off the back.

‘Now we can move on and hopefully get a few more,’ Brown said.

North Melbourne leads by two points at the main break.

Ben Brown has three goals for the Roos, while Tom Lynch has three at the other end.

Gary Ablett has racked up 22 disposals.

‘They’re great numbers but I’d like to see him do more damage forward of centre,’ Matthew Lloyd said.
