GAME DAY: Port Adelaide v Carlton at Adelaide Oval | 3AW Radio
Port Adelaide’s third quarter was simply unbelievable.
They scored 16 times, while keeping Carlton scoreless.
Had they kicked straighter than 6.10, their lead would have been truly monumental.
Quite staggeringly, Carlton had just one disposal in their attacking half for the whole quarter.
Other stats from the third quarter:
- Disposals were 135 to 59
- Inside 50s were 24 to 2
- Contested possessions were 44 to 20
- Incredibly, Port also had more tackles: 16 to 12

HALF TIME
Port Adelaide leads by 33 points after making a flying start to the match.
The Power booted the first five goals of the game before the Blues woke up.
Carlton had enough of the play in the second quarter, however their skills left a bit to be desired.
Mark Bickley said the Blues are doing enough right – until they reach their attacking arc.
‘They’ve just got to be more accurate when they have that last kick going inside 50,’ Bicks said.
‘They’ve got to move it a bit quicker, and they’ve got to put it to the advantage of their forwards.’
HT | Port has extended its lead to 33.
Bicks: ‘Carlton’s had 6 of the last 7 shots. Bolton would be tearing his hair out.’ #AFLPowerBlues
