GAME DAY: Sydney v GWS at the SCG | 3AW Radio

Sportsday

FULL TIME

GWS has dealt their crosstown rivals another blow, winning the Sydney Derby by 42 points.

Somewhat incredibly, the Swans have backed up their Grand Final appearance with five losses to start the season.

In some good news for the Swans, star forward Lance Franklin booted the 800th goal of his career, just the 12th player in history to reach that milestone.

Kane Cornes said the Giants showed maturity to recover from Sydney’s fast start.

‘I thought it was a complete performance,’ Cornes said.

The Swans (16th) are yet to win in 2017, and sit well below the Giants (5th).

But if they are to slip to 0-5, it won’t be without a fight.
