THE WASH-UP: Adelaide star Rory Sloane spoke to 3AW Football on Sunday afternoon.

Sloane said the club was thrilled to return to the big stage.

‘We don’t get many games at the G. It was huge last night,’ Sloane said.

Sloane heaped praise on Crow captain Taylor Walker, who was influential in the win.

‘He stands up in critical moments. He’s been working a lot on his goal-kicking.’

FULL TIME: Adelaide has ended the Bulldogs’ fairytale season with a thrilling seven-point win.

Small forward Eddie Betts booted five goals for the Crows, while the skipper Taylor Walker kicked three.

Tory Dickson kicked five for the Dogs, who had three more scoring shots than Adelaide.

Adelaide now plays Hawthorn at the MCG on Friday night.

Western Bulldogs assistant Daniel Giansiracusa spoke to 3AW Football before the match.

Giansiracusa said the Dogs were remaining focused despite their excitement for finals football.

‘We don’t want to just make up the numbers,’ Giansiracusa said.

The Dogs beat Adelaide by 57 points last time they met, but they won’t be resting on their laurels.

‘Both teams have improved since our last match,’ Giansiracusa said.

The Bulldogs have captured the imagination of the footy world with a dream return to the finals. 

After the off-season from hell, the Dogs have found new life with energetic and entertaining football.

But the Dogs will have to win its final away from home, this match being just their third at the MCG all season, and the first since Round 8.

On the back of stars Patrick Dangerfield, Taylor Walker, and Sam Jacobs, the Crows are poised to give the finals a serious shake.
