Geelong council slammed for ‘hypocrisy’ over Australia Day name change

The City of Greater Geelong voted last night to change the Australia Day name to January 26th moving forward.

Liberal MP for Western Victoria Region, Bev McArthur, believes the country can be one on Australia Day, but wants the council to get their priorities straight.

She also told Neil Mitchell she was “struck by the hypocrisy” over the same council welcoming the Commonwealth Games to the city
