Generous Tiger sets up shop to keep the (coffee) buzz at Punt Road
Rumour File confirmed
A passionate Tiger noted for his generosity has put his hand in his pockets to ensure there’s no lack of energy at Punt Road.
Bus operator Ken Grenda (pictured above, via richmondfc.com.au) has set up a coffee van for staff and players the past two weeks, ensuring the club remains well-fed and caffeinated in Richmond’s surge to Saturday’s grand final.
“It’s fantastic,” Richmond media manager Nicki Malady said in confirming The Rumour File’s tip-off.
“I guess because everyone is working hard and it’s such a busy time for all the staff, it’s great to acknowledge that.”
It’s not unlike Mr Grenda to be generous with his money.
He was hailed the best boss in Australia in 2012 when he sold his highly-successful bus company Grenda Transit Management and paid out $15 million in bonuses to staff members.
He is a life-long Tigers supporter and a patron of Richmond.
