Gerard Healy says comments from Rafael Nadal are ‘rubbish’

Gerard Healy has been forced to take aim at one of his favourite sports stars of the modern era!

The Sportsday host has taken exception to comments from Rafael Nadal, who suggested the professional tennis schedule was too intense and threatening the sports best players.

Nadal was forced to withdraw from the Australian Open due to injury, with several other leading names not playing in the first grand slam of 2018 because they’re hurt.

“Rafa, what a load of rubbish,” Gerard said on 3AW.

“Yes, there are some big names missing with injuries, but none have anything to do with the dates of the Australian Open.”
