Gerard Healy says the Gold Coast is “fast running out of chances” to show it’s got a future in the AFL.

The Sportsday host said Tuesday’s sacking of Rodney Eade was only a small part of a big issue.

“This is now about a club, the Suns, and their survival,” Healy said.

“They’re fast running out of chances to prove to supporters, parents of prospective draftees and current players that it’s a club worth investing in.”

Healy said the Suns should look at luring former assistant Ken Hinkley back to the club, if possible.

Hinkley’s contract with Port Adelaide expires at the end of next season.

Gold Coast chief Mark Evans then joined Sportsday.
