‘Get on with it’: The push for Melbourne to catch up to other cities with an Airport Rail Link

A public transport campaigner is highlighting Sydney could have TWO Airport Rail Links before Melbourne has one.

A poll in the Herald Sun shows 51 per cent of Melburnians would be willing to swap Ubers and buses for Airport Rail, if and when its finally built.

The Public Transport Users Association’s Daniel Bowen told Shane McInnes “absolutely it’s time we get it done” and other cities are leaving Melbourne behind.

3AW mornings fill-in host Shane McInnes also issued a strong plea to the state government to get the Airport Rail Link done, stating the time for procrastination “must end”.

“Get on with it,” he said.
