The longer Nick Kyrgios stays in the Australian Open, the less tennis Ross Stevenson will be watching.

The rising star of Australian tennis courted more drama last night in his straight sets win against Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas.

‘It was an absolutely mix-up. It was a circus,’ Kyrgios said post-match.

Why?

Because he didn’t like his shorts. Seriously.

He needed to change the shorts mid-match after spending several games stomping around, grizzling to himself and to others – ‘I’m fuming’ and ‘never again’, he said.

‘He’s really annoying,’ Ross told Burnso this morning. ‘He’s really, seriously annoying.

‘He editorialises all the time. He’s forever muttering, and abusing, and addressing other people.

‘He’s won in straight sets. I look forward to the day he loses in straight set; his behaviour will be fair dinkum unbelievable.

‘?He’s unwatchable.’
