Gladstone Park shopping centre evacuated due to fire

A food court fire sparked the evacuation of almost 300 people from the Gladstone Park Shopping Centre on Wednesday.

Fire crews quickly got on top of the blaze, which erupted in the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant.

Around 200 people were in the shopping centre at the time.

A childcare centre on the top floor of the plaza was also evacuated, with around 80 children there at the time.
