Glastonbury organisers told to ‘have a good look at themselves’ after political controversy

Glastonbury organisers have been blasted following a weekend of controversy at the UK music festival.
Punk-rap duo Bob Vylan led a ‘death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)’ chant – in reference to the current war in the Middle East, while host broadcaster BBC opted against airing the live performance of Kneecap, another band known for their hardline anti-Israel stance.
Entertainment reporter Pete Ford said organisers had badly misread the situation as they scrambled to save face.

“The Glastonbury organisers have to really take a good look at themselves,” he told Ross and Russ.
“They’re putting out apologies today about some of the political messaging that went on – they knew those acts would go rogue.”
