Glen Boss takes aim at report suggesting he ‘blasted’ Michelle Payne

Champion jockey Glen Boss has lashed out at a News Corp report suggesting he ‘blasted’ Melbourne Cup winner Michelle Payne.

Boss, best known for riding Makybe Diva to three straight Melbourne Cup wins, was quoted as saying Payne might ‘live to regret’ her post-race comments in which she lamented chauvinistic attitudes in racing.

The article prompted an extraordinary attack on Twitter from Boss this morning, who said he had been taken completely out of context and that he supported Payne.

And he didn’t hold back in an interview with Neil Mitchell this morning.
