Glenn Maxwell’s message to those who questioned Peter Handscomb’s batting technique

Glenn Maxwell says he couldn’t be happier to see Victorian teammate Peter Handscomb prove the doubters wrong with a blistering start to his Test career.

Handscomb scored another brilliant century for Australia in the Third Test at the SCG.

And while Maxwell would love to be in the side himself, he told 3AW he was just as thrilled to see Handscomb perform on the big stage after some questioned whether his batting technique would hold-up at international level.

‘There’s been enough said about his technique and he’s just proving to everyone that you can go about it a different way and still be successful,’ Maxwell said on Sports Today.

‘To be averaging 100 after your first couple of tests is an unbelievable achievement.’
